Creative Construction

If you like to build stuff, but are tired of Lego blocks and Lincoln Logs, consider raiding the kitchen. Grab some marshmallows and some uncooked spaghetti and get to work! You can make a building, a car, a robot—just about anything you can think up. You could probably build with other foods, but the great thing about these two foods is that they don’t need refrigeration. You may not want to leave your creation sitting out too long though, especially in the summertime when ants go on the march…

Happy Building!

New Series For Elementary Readers!

The Dragonbreath Series from Ursula Vernon is part chapter book and part graphic novel. The books revolve around a dragon named Danny who is unable to breathe fire and attends a school for amphibians and reptiles. Along with the help of his best friend, Wendell the Iguana, Danny goes up against the likes of ninja frogs, horned bunnies, bat monsters, and more. For fans of Diary of a Wimpy Kid books or reluctant readers intimidated by pages and pages of text, these books are sure to keep your young reader entertained.
